LinkedIn HQ, London

A premium branded photo experience for a senior professional audience.

Designed for editorial-grade imagery, protective of the LinkedIn brand and backed by a verified client testimonial.

Project Overview

A moment for LinkedIn's community, delivered at LinkedIn HQ.

Hosted at LinkedIn HQ in London, this event brought together members, partners and the LinkedIn team for an evening of connection and conversation. The activation needed to feel like a natural part of the LinkedIn brand world, not an imported photo booth wheeled in for the night.

The audience was senior. Guests were used to being in rooms with a camera present, and equally used to declining anything that felt gimmicky. That set a very clear bar for what the experience had to be — considered, editorial and completely on-brand.

Photobooths London designed and delivered a branded corporate photo experience that produced imagery guests were genuinely proud to share, while giving LinkedIn a controlled, brand-safe content stream from the evening.

For a room of senior LinkedIn members, the activation had to look like it belonged to the brand — not sit alongside it.

The Brief

A polished guest experience that reflects the LinkedIn brand.

LinkedIn wanted a considered photo activation that matched the calibre of the audience and the tone of the room. It had to complement the wider evening, drive natural interaction between members and partners, and hand every guest something they would be happy to be seen with the next morning.

  • 01Reflect the calibre of the LinkedIn audience.
  • 02Encourage natural conversation between members and partners.
  • 03Produce editorial imagery consistent with the LinkedIn brand.
  • 04Integrate seamlessly with the wider event programme.
  • 05Give guests a beautifully designed keepsake to take away.
  • 06Feel effortless from arrival to delivery.
The Challenge

Senior audiences don't queue for gimmicks.

A generic photo booth would have felt out of place in front of this audience. LinkedIn members and partners had to feel the experience was designed for them, not imported from a wedding or a Christmas party.

Equally important, every image leaving the activation carried the LinkedIn brand. That meant strict controls on visuals, print design and digital delivery — imagery had to be sophisticated enough for guests to comfortably share on their own LinkedIn profiles.

The experience needed to be
  • Feel considered, not gimmicky.
  • Respect the tone of a senior professional room.
  • Produce imagery guests would be comfortable sharing on LinkedIn.
  • Protect the brand across every touchpoint — visuals, prints and delivery.
  • Keep the queue relaxed and unhurried at all times.
The Audience

Members, partners and the LinkedIn team.

The room was made up of LinkedIn members, senior brand and agency partners, and members of the LinkedIn team hosting the evening. Every group needed to feel equally at ease with the activation.

Each guest's professional identity is public — visible on their own LinkedIn profile. That framed every creative decision: the lighting, the direction, the print design and the shareable digital output all had to hold up on a professional feed.

Strategic Thinking

Position the activation as an extension of the LinkedIn brand.

The strategic decision was to stop thinking about the activation as a "photo booth" at all. Instead, we designed a fully branded portrait studio experience that lived inside LinkedIn HQ as a considered brand touchpoint.

Every choice — from the backdrop system to the tone of our hosts — was made to protect the LinkedIn brand while giving guests a genuine reason to step in. The photograph became the takeaway, but the experience itself was the real product.

This reframing shifted the activation from a novelty attraction to a signature brand moment inside the evening.

Experience Design

Editorial studio, dressed in LinkedIn brand.

The activation was built around a bespoke branded backdrop and a professional DSLR studio setup — the same category of kit used for editorial and campaign portraiture, not consumer photo-booth hardware.

Studio lighting was tuned specifically for the space at LinkedIn HQ so every portrait held a consistent, flattering look regardless of who stepped in front of the camera.

Print templates and digital assets were designed in-house, signed off against LinkedIn's visual language and locked before the event so nothing off-brand could leave the booth.

The Guest Journey

Five considered steps, no queue theatre.

  1. 01

    Arrival

Guests were welcomed by a trained host into a calm, considered space that felt like an extension of the LinkedIn event, not a separate attraction.

  2. 02

    Direction

Subtle prompts and confident direction from the host ensured senior guests felt at ease in front of the camera, without theatre or gimmicks.

  3. 03

    Capture

A professional DSLR and studio lighting produced editorial-grade portraits against a bespoke, fully branded LinkedIn backdrop.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Guests received a beautifully designed branded print and an instantly shareable digital version — approved to brand standards.

  5. 05

    Connection

The activation became a natural meeting point across the evening, sparking conversations between guests who wouldn't otherwise have crossed paths.

Creative Production

Every asset designed, approved and locked before the door opened.

Backdrop artwork, print templates, on-screen graphics and digital-share designs were all developed in-house by our creative team. Each element was reviewed against LinkedIn's visual guidance before sign-off.

Locking creative in advance meant the activation could run at pace on the night without any last-minute compromises on brand quality. Guests received work that felt considered, not improvised.

Event Delivery

Calm on the floor, on-brand in the output.

A senior crew handled the on-site delivery at LinkedIn HQ — experienced with corporate audiences, briefed on tone and trained to keep the space welcoming rather than performative.

Hosts guided every guest through the experience personally. There were no self-service screens, no shouted instructions and no queue theatre. The pace was intentionally unhurried.

Prints and digital shares were quality-checked before being handed over, so nothing left the activation until it met the brand standard agreed with LinkedIn beforehand.

Corporate Brand Protection

Built-in safeguards, not afterthoughts.

For a brand like LinkedIn, brand protection isn't a nice-to-have — it's the deliverable. We designed the activation around four safeguards so no image, print or interaction could undermine the brand on the night.

  • 01

    Bespoke visual system

Backdrop, print template and screen graphics were designed in-house and reviewed against LinkedIn brand guidance before the event.

  • 02

    Editorial-grade capture

Professional DSLR cameras and studio lighting — the same setup used for editorial portraiture — replaced the flat aesthetic of consumer photo booths.

  • 03

    Host-led experience

Every guest was guided by a trained event host, so senior attendees never felt observed, rushed or handed self-service technology.

  • 04

    Approval workflow

Content, prints and digital deliverables followed a defined approval flow — nothing left the activation until it was signed off as on-brand.

The Outcome

A brand-safe evening — and a testimonial to prove it.

The activation became a natural gathering point across the evening — encouraging conversation between guests who might not otherwise have connected, while producing a controlled library of on-brand content for LinkedIn to use afterwards.

Every guest left with a premium keepsake that reflected the quality of the event. LinkedIn left with a verified video testimonial and a delivery partner they know is safe to put in front of their most senior audiences.

Why It Worked

We designed for the audience in the room.

Nothing about the activation felt borrowed from a party. The lighting, the direction, the print design and the tone of our hosts were built specifically for a room of senior professionals inside LinkedIn HQ.

Brand protection ran through every touchpoint — from the artwork on the backdrop to the last print handed over — so LinkedIn never had to compromise between guest experience and brand quality.

The result was a considered brand moment, a strong content library and a client testimonial recorded on camera.
